How do I know if he really likes me or if hes just messing with me?

Ok so theres this guy who says he really likes me but then again he told me that over email and there are some times that his friends get into his email and send me emails how do I know if when he says he really likes me or loves me that its him first of all and second He told me in person that he likes me and then kissed me. So when he gets back from vacation we are going to hang and he said that he wanted to hang out with me and had asked me if he could hold my hands or put his hands on my waist. anyway my questions are how do I know if he really likes me and if you think he does what do you think I should do when we hang out when he gets back
