What do I do about this jacket?

Bought a leather jacket yesterday. It is really cropped and I like it a lot. A very fashionable jacket. It looks like a girls jacket but I got it from the guy section. Don't know if they made a mistake on putting it there. Well I was going for a large one since the jacket's style is small and for skinny people like me. Anyways the medium is a little tight when I zip it but its something I can resist. If I wear it without zipping it than it won't be tight and it looks better that way too. The other problem is my mom she doesn't like it and she won't hang out with me if I put it on. She says it looks girly. I bought it with my money though and I dress somewhat feminine too. I am a guy by the way? Should I return the jacket because of this? Like I really like it and its nice. The cashier when I was paying my jacket even said "this is so cute". Yeah its a really cropped jacket. Like it goes mid-waist. Covers my chest but not my tummy and has leopard designs inside.
