What does it mean when you are cycling a new fish tank, the water becomes cloudy then clears up again?

30 gallon fish tank with the filter/heater/decorations all set up. It became cloudy after a few days and now cleared up a few days later. I understand the cloud is the bacteria bloom but what does it mean when it becomes clear again on its own? does that mean my nitrites are coming? thanks!
