Do I weigh to much :( please help!?

I'm 13, 5'7, 27inches round my waist and 30inches round my hips. I'm only a 34A cup, and I guess I'm pretty strong I have a 6 pack :/. I used to weigh about 110 and that was only like 7 months ago and i jus got weighed at the doctors and I weigh 130! D: my mom said it's jus cuz I'm so tall and my bones are big or something, but I don't think I should weight this much :( I eat healthy and very active too... Should I go on the water diet or jus not eat so much? :( plz help

It sounds like your fish has ammonia poisoning from an overcrowded tank. You can verify this by taking a sample of your water to a fishstore and having them test it. If your ammonia levels are high you will probably loose the fry and ottos very soon.

I have two goldfish in a 10 gal tank. One keeps coming to the surface for air.?

I have both an aerator and a filter. I was reading online that when a goldfish is constantly piping, it means that the tank doesn't have enough oxygen. Also, this tank is relatively new, and the ammonia and nitrites were high, according to water testing done at Petsmart. We did a 10% water change last night (which a PetSmart clerk told us to start doing daily), added AmmoLock, Stress Zyme (to begin the biological filtration). I am guessing that the high levels of ammonia and the fact that the biological filtration takes a few weeks to work is the reason for the piping. Is there anything more I can do to help my fish? Can we increase the daily percentage of water change from 10% to 15% or 20%. If you do a daily water change, what is the maximum percentage of change that you can safely do? We had a goldfish that was doing the same thing, and the next day I found him dead in the tank. I don't want this to happen again.

Very probably. Why did you get a crab and a fish before your tank was set up and cycled? It usually takes 6-8 weeks to cycle a saltwater tank before you add fish. Most non-hermit crabs won't live until the tank has been up and running for over a year because their isn't enough food for them. If you got them from a store I would take them back until you are ready for them. Its not like the store is going to run out of fish between now and the time you have your tank ready.

I have a 31 inch waist and 37 inch hips. Jeans are always too baggy in the legs and bum or too tight around the waist. I cannot find a pair that fits comfortably around the hips and waist at the same time. I'm a nanny to my baby cousins, but we're close enough to where they call me auntie. i'm 17, the baby girl is 22 months old and the boy is 3 and a half. I wish I was anorexic?

Hello. I'm fourteen, 5'6, and I weight about 120. I know that sounds like a healthy weight according to the BMI chart but I am disgusted with myself. I have small arms but my stomach looks like pumpkin, no lie.. I have to wear my pants above my waist so my love handles won't show. I also am ashamed of my thighs, I have no gap between my legs and they jiggle. I am VERY healthy. I do not eat junk food, nor do I drink soda, and I don't eat a lot. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables annd drink water. I exercise, too. I jog/walk everyday on the treadmill and lose 310 calories (so my treadmill says) then I do a couple of toning exercises like lunges and reverse crunches.. I've been worrying about my appearance ever since last year and I've exercised and everything but have no results. My goal weight is 100... honestly my insecurities are ruining my life. I do not go out much because I am ashamed of my body, and I am always depressed. My parents have thought about taking me to see a therapist for my depression. How can I lose the weight? I wish I was anorexic.

Bought a leather jacket yesterday. It is really cropped and I like it a lot. A very fashionable jacket. It looks like a girls jacket but I got it from the guy section. My life is falling apart, I need help, please!?

I recently lost my nan to cancer in January. It literally broke my heart, an my family hasnt been the same since. We are all not talking to my grandad anymore, because he was being a **** to my nan, and he was stealing from her even though he had plenty. Its like me, my sister and my mum are in the middle. My 2 aunties arent talking to my other aunty and uncle, they just dont get along, so we have to go on seperate days out together. I am so stressed over exams, im doing my GCSE's. Im only 15, and I have to look after my mum when she gets that depressed that shes constantly crying. She has turned to drugs to help her sleep, and so has my sister. I have to sit there whilst they smoke it in front of me, and it breaks my heart. We are low for money as it is, and just everything is going wrong. I wish that my nan was back, because everything was fine then. I havent seen my dad for 13 years, and I recently found him on facebook, I told my sister this, as we had a heart to heart talk, and she told me some of the stuff he has done (not to be repeated here) and I was sick to my stomach, but I still wanna talk to him :/ I tried adding him on facebook, but no reply. IF your tank is finished cycling the platties. They're the hardiest of the fish you listed. Add otto's after 6 months when the tank is matured and stable. They won't survive otherwise. Neon tetra's aren't to terribly hardy anymore so add those as close to last as possible... but really I owuldn't add tetra's at all they really need a 20 gallon tank as to the barbs, oto's and rasboras the only fish you have listed that will do well in a 12 gallon tank is the platies.

What motivated you to have more children?

We're trying for number 2 right now, and I'm also scared....not because of birth issues, but pregnancy issues. I actually had a very healthy pregnancy (for him) and easy birth, but I was soooo sick for almost the whole 9 months. Even on medication - it helped me keep some things down but did nothing to quell the constant, overpowering nausea. The thought of going through that agian with a toddler has me wondering if I'm crazy. But I have always known I wanted at least 2 kids, maybe 3. Your parents will NOT kill you or be disappointed in you. Yes, it's going to be awkward when they find out. They need to find out before this progresses and your life is even more destroyed. How to tell them without the awkwardness or embarrassment? Perhaps writing it all down, like you did above, fold it up and leave it to where the can find it. Or hand it to them and ask to be dismissed, if you could go to a friends house. Let them know where you will be. Give them time to absorb it. Why did my goldfish die?

I added 2 little goldfish to my tank already having 4 goldfishes, they were lively wen i bought them but one of my fish started to act different(while other one was lively) n died today. Fish question, please help?!?

My fish has popeye, he's a Cichlid and him and my female just had babies, it was only about 2 1/2 weeks ago, so they're not very big, and I'm scared to just use the vacuum to clean the gravel. I have been changing the water out, but it hasn't been doing anything to change the nitrite levels, etc. Does anyone have any advice on how to take care of this problem? Without damaging the babies or mom, because they are doing fine. I moved him to a different clean tank for now... But just don't know what else to do.

10 gallon fish tank question?

I recently decided to set-up an aquarium using my brother's 10 gallon tank. I cleaned the gravel/substrate as well as the aquarium objects. I researched about "new tank syndrome" and a good way to set-up a healthy tank. However, at the pet store, I impulsively purchased two cardinal tetras instead of zebrafish (I also purchased a black mystery snail and a live plant: I forget the official name but I can provide that later). I checked the water temperature, the pH, nitrite, ammonia levels: they are all suitable for the fish. Nonetheless, I am concerned that the fish will not be healthy since they are in a group of less than 5. Also, I eventually want to add bottomfeeders and potentially zebrafish, but I obviously can't put more than 9-10 small fish in this tank. How would you suggest going about the next 6-8 weeks to establish a good nitrogen cycle? Any other suggestions or warnings?

Is getting a lap dance cheating?

How long does it take for nitrites to show up in a fishless cycle?

I am currently on my 8th day of fishless cycling. 8 days ago I added 5mL of ACE 10% ammonia solution to my 29 gallon aquarium. I've read on multiple fish sites that niTRITES should have already been registering on the test kit by now (API master) but so far I have no niTRATES. I've been a little worried since the first day I've started the fishless cycle with too much ammonia, I did a 25% PWC yesterday and the ammonia to me at least still looks to be the same level as before. It's really hard for me to tell which green it's on with this API kit. Anybody that's done fishless cycling, how long has it taken before you've seen any niTRITES? Should I drain all the water and start over? Any suggestions on what I should do? Or do I just have to wait it out another week...

Probably near just right, otherwise your overstocked. If you want to get some new fish think of getting a bigger tank and exporting the ones in your existing tank into that one. You could always get rid of some fish that you have enough of and get a few others.

This is a first for me. In my dream, It was like I couldn't control myself. I was in a huge church with my friends and family all around getting ready for that night's service. What liquid test kit works best for aquariums?

I've recently set up a 29 gallon aquarium and am currently doing a fishless cycle in it. I am using API Ammonia test strips for now until I can get some Nitrites to build up. I've read multiple fish fourms on how test strips constantly give inaccurate readings so my question is, what liquid test kit works the best? I know that API makes a liquid test kit but I'm a little leery to buy anything from them now since who's to say that isn't accurate either. Also how much are these liquid test kits and where can I find them?

What should I do about hiding odessa barbs?

I have a 35 gallon tropical aquarium and in that I have 6 odessa barbs, 1 rainbow shark, two hoplo catfish and a BN pleco. Before I had two thick lipped gouramis but the first one died because of a blood clot in its body that exploded and the second one died because of stress from the bullying of the rainbow shark (I know i was a complete retard for mixing those two fishes). While the gouramis were still alive the barbs were swimming around everywhere but now that the shark cant bully the gouramis, he is bullying the barbs (whenever they come out). All the barbs are hiding in the back of my tank and they come out whenever it is feeding time and a few of them occasionally slowly come out only to be chased back into hiding by the shark. The funny thing is that there is no sign of stress at all, the barbs look more colorful than ever and whenever they come out and get chased, they dont form a shoal or anything like that. In my previous tank i had a group of 12 neons with the shark (when it was a juvenile) it still chased the neons furiously but the neons never minded, why arent the barbs the same? How can i encourage them to come out? The temperature is at 23-24 C, no ammonia, no nitrite and about 10 nitrates but its time for a cleaning today. I really would like my barbs to come out because they are by far the most beautifully colored fishes i have ever seen and its a shame that they hide always.

Saltwater fish question?

I have a 33 gallon aquarium, about 3 months old. I am a new to saltwater aquariums. I have lots of experience with freshwater tanks and fish but I know they aren't the same, so my question is about stocking. My tank parameters are ammonia0, nitrite 0, nitrate 3-5, pH 8.3 and SG 1.023. I have about 40 lbs of live rock, filters, heater, power head and skimmer. Now the inhabitants I have right now are 2 clown fish, 1 fire fish, 1 zebra hermit and 1 blue legged hermit. I was considering getting 2 more fish that come out more often than the fire fish. My clowns are aways out and that's what I like but I was wondering if I can mix 2 different species of damselfish. A humbug damsel and a yellow tail damsel. I have read up on them and i now that damsefish are aggressive, that's why I want to get them at the same time and they are my very last fish. Would it be ok to mix those 2 together? I have lots of caves and such for them to call their own territory. what do you think?

Will my guppy survive?

Ok I just came back from vacation and I have not done a water change in about 8-9 days which I usually do weekly (20%). I have a 5 gallon tank with 1 male guppy, I neon tetra, and 1 angel catfish. The fish have been doing perfectly fine for 3 months now. My guppy is a VERY active fish. He does his mating dance for the tetra all day-everyday. He eats normally and is starting to recognize me. My mom was fish sitting for me and Im sure she over feed as I come home to find the black gravel practically covered in old fish food. I did a water Test and found the nitrates super high!!!!!! I did a 20% water change, added 1/2 teaspoon bacteria, 1/2 of nit out (the nitrites was stressful too) and added some water conditioner to the purified water I added to the tank. I also tried to scoop up as much left over food as possible. There is some algae starting to grow on the decor. His skin and tail looks fine, he just has his long beautiful tail (that he just grew) laying on the gravel while he paddles & wobble upward breathing normally. That was last night; this morning the gravel is a almost spotless thanks to my catfish who's a nighttime eater, and my guppy is doing the same behavior but when I put a pinch of food inside (I know it's bad but I was curious) he swam around eating crazy as usual and at the top chomping away, and afterwards went back to the bottom. I really love this crazy fish. I checked my water this morning and it noted -nitrate at the end of the safe zone @40-nitrite @ 1.0 stress area-soft water-alkalinity low around 40-and PH @neutral 6.8. What's wrong with him? Will he survive? What can I do?

Help with my 5 gallon tank?

I have a 5 gallon tank that I bought in April. I didn't read up on aquarism beforehand unfortunately, and I have had no luck cycling my tank. My ammonia levels are still always through the roof, despite my twice daily water changes. The nitrate and nitrite levels are still 0 (undetectable by my API master test kit). I have one sunset platy Left out Of all the fish I originally bought. Why won't my tank cycle? I thought low oxygen conditions might be to blame, so I bought an airstone and air pump. No help. I then bought an additional filter, which accomplished nothing but sucking up my 3 corycats and killing them . I am at the end of my rope, what can I do ? I use dechlorinator to make the water safe, and I add seachem stability with every water change . I vacuum the gravel (about 1/3) every few days.

Can't get my ammonia levels down. Help?

I am doing a fishless cycle and have only added ACE 10% ammonia to the aquarium once to get the cycle going. I was told to add 1 teaspoon of ammonia for my 29 gallon aquarium so I did this on (05/30/2011) its been a week now and my ammonia levels are still the same as they were the first day I added it in. I just got through doing a PWC and the level is still the same as before the PWC I am using an API master test kit and I can't really tell but it's giving me a reading between 2.0-4.0ppm but no niTRITES, the pH is registering at 7.6 I know the higher the pH the more toxic ammonia is. So should I keep doing PWC until I can get the ammonia to at least 1.0ppm or lower?

I feel like my life is falling apart :(?

I'm fourteen, and I've been pretty depressed for a while now. But now I just feel like my life is falling apart. It started yesterday, when my family found out I ditched school on Thursday to go to town. My mum gets pretty annoyed and irritated with it, and she made me promise a few weeks ago that I wouldn't ditch anymore, but I still did. They all expect me to be perfect, and my nan tells me that out of all her grandchildren, I'm the one with the most "potential", and I'm also the eldest. They expect so much from me, and I just can't take it. They have my whole life planned out for me; college, career, kids. They all expect me to be a successful lawyer and to get into the best university like Harvard or something. And I don't even know if I'll live long enough to make it to uni. I live with my mum, my two brothers, my sister and my step-dad. I want to run away, and I have this friend who told me that if I ever want to run away, he'll pay for my bus ticket and everything. I just want to get away from everything- all the expectations and pressure. My family thinks I'm strong because I always act like it, but I'm crumbling. It upsets me so much, and when I was talking to my friend on the phone and telling her what was happening I started crying, and I still feel like crying. It hurts me so much. How accurate are Jungle Quick Drip test strips?

I've been using them for the last couple weeks on my turtle tank, but the measurements never seem to change. Earlier today (about 3 hours ago) the strip showed 2.0ppm nitrite levels. I did a 50% water change, and now, 3 hours later, the strip still shows about 2.0ppm. It is somewhat difficult to tell with a pale pink, bit I was wondering if anybody else had similar experiences.

Why did my clown fish die after 1 day in aquarium?

I have had my new saltwater tank set up for almost 2 months now. It's a 14 gallon BioCube. I have about 10-14 Lbs of live rock in it. Also have a flourishing Xenia soft coral, 3 snails, 1 turbo snail, and 3 hermit crabs. I had 2 damsels in to start the cycle but both of those died after about 2 weeks which I was told is normal. After getting my water tested 3 times over the course of 6 weeks my local pet shop told me it would be OK to introduce a fish again. Parameters measured by him were Nitrates, nitrites salinity, and PH. They told me everything was a go so I bought a clown fish for $10. Used the method that the shop told me. Let the bag float in the water for 30 minutes. Then take it out, open the bag and pour a little of my water into the bag 3 times. Once every 7 minutes. After that I dumped the fish into a fish net over a sink and placed it into my tank. The fish seemed very hyper and kept looking at everyone outside the tank. Woke up the next morning and it was dead. What are some things that I may need to look into as to why the fish died? Do they die just from stress of a new tank and can't handle it or could a parameter be off?

I am 10 weeks pregnant and having the usual nausea/food aversions/sensitivities to smell. I am taking a prenatal vitamin and usually have a bowl of total raisin bran with fruit in the morning, or eggs, and sometimes both. The rest of the day, however, my appetite declines and I find it difficult to eat much of high nutritional value. Yesterday I had TWO Auntie Ann's pretzels and cheese sauce for lunch, a peach for a snack, and pb & j for dinner with a yogurt, although I was very nauseous after dinner. A 2.5 gallon is not OK for any fish. Not even a Betta. Depending on the Gourami will tell you what kind of tank he needs. A dwarf, like 10 or 15 gallons. If you have that much Ammonia and NitrAtes, the tank was not cycled. And even the smallest bit of ammonia stresses the fish out. So that really needs to be corrected. And so do the Nitrites. Your NitrAtes are good right now. But as for the rest, they are not. So I would either return him, or do some daily water changes when cycling a bigger tank.

Ok, For fish to get, There should be no platies or mollies because they need 15 or more gallons. I would get 6 neon tetras with 3 corydoras and 2 shrimp with 5 cherry barbs. Feed them once a day every day and half a penny size should take care of it. To clean it, Change 20 percent of the water every month. Add 2 inches of gravel for the tank. The temparature should be around 70-78 degrees. Hope i helped.

Why is my tank not cycling?

I am currently cycling a 20 gallon tank, fish-less by using fish food. I've bumped the ammonia levels up to around 3-4 ppm, but it has been over a month now and I still have no nitrites and the ammonia levels are not dropping. I don't know if it matters but I do have two live plants that have been in there the whole time, I even used some filter media from an already cycled tank in an effort to speed it up, any ideas on why I'm not seeing any beneficial bacteria yet?

Why are my guppies dying?

Every time I buy guppies, they die. I don't believe this is because of disease because there are no obvious symptoms. I usually lose them at the rate of 1 every one or two days until there's only a few that survive. My pH was at 7.0 and KH was at 4�. Since finding out guppies prefer harder and more alkaline water I've changed that to 7.5 and 8� respectively. Unfortunately this hasn't stopped the problem. Ammonia and nitrite levels are at zero and stable. I do a 33% water change every fortnight and this is an established aquarium. I maintain the water temperature at 25�C. I am experienced in aquarium keeping and I am at a loss to figure out why this only happens to my guppies. I keep them with platties and the two species are good community fish. Why is my betta not eating fish food?

I have my betta in a non-permanent 1.5 gallon tank (it has a light, java fern, and barely bubbling airstone - for circulation - in there) since June 18th. I have fed him only 1 blood worm so far, and that was two days after I got him. This past weekend I did a 1/2 gallon water change w/ siphoning to clear up anything that might have gone to the bottom (nitrate, nitrites, and ammonia were perfect). Yesterday I noticed that he was pooping alot (and each poop was bigger than a betta pellet!), so constipation was probably his issue at first. Today he was moving around alot more, so I tried a blood worm (to see what would happen) and he went up to it, kind of sniffed it, and then swam away like he was disgusted. His belly looks healthy, so do you think it is more constipation? I tried to feed him part of a peeled boiled pea, but he wouldn't touch that either. Thanks for helping.

First things first. What size tank is it? And do you mean plecostomus? Sounds like a lack of cycling and possibly overcrowding issue. For the fish you have (10 sword tails) you would need at least a 30 gallon tank not counting the pleco which can grow to nearly 2 feet, the frogs and the guppy. Even if the tank was cycled, adding 5 sword tails at one time is a recipe for disaster. It overloads the beneficial bacteria in your tank by adding too much ammonia at one time. Never add more than 2-3 fish per week no matter what size tank you have. PLEASE post your tank and filter information so we can help steer you in the right direction to keep some of these guys alive.

I accidentally killed my friend's rabbit :(?

This is how it happened. I went over my friend's house and she went to go to the bathroom. Her rabbit was in his cage and I went over to pet him and play with him cause I was bored. So, I took him out of the cage (she doesn't mind) and let him walk on the floor. I had a red bull that I was drinking and the rabbit kept trying to get to it, but I pulled it away. What's wrong with my betta fish?

I got a betta fish last night and put it in one of the betta set ups they sold at the pet store. I can't remember if he looked like this yesterday, but today he looks very red around the gills. I have a test kit that checks ph, water hardness, nitrate levels, nitrite levels, and alkalinity. I tested the water and everything looks fine, but the water is hard. I read online that the redness might be from ammonia, so I'm gonna get a test kit for that. It's been less than 24 hours, does ammonia cause symptoms that quickly? I'm also going to buy some betta water, because it's probably better than mine, although mine is treated. Are there any other things that could be causing the redness around his gills? I'm really worried, so please help me out!

Now recently 1 of the shops here sold me API cycle, and I have used this in my fish tank, and within a couple of days my ammonia and nitrite and nitrate apeard, then when my amonia and nitrite levels showed up as zero, I have added a clown loach and a synodontis cat fish to my surviving 4 neon tetras 4 silvertip tetras and 2 platties, and last week i have added a couple of java ferns. The problem I have now is that my Amonium levels are up to 2ppm, no nitrite levels and low Nitrate levels, is this bad, as the shop advised me to stop water changes, but I am worried that I will loose my fish, PLEASE HELP.

Why are my cherry shrimp dying?

how did you add them to the tank ??? shrimp should be drip acclimatized before being put in any new tank ... it should take several hours before they are released into the tank ... when i get new shrimp i will float them in the tank they are going into and add a couple tablespoons of tank water to the bag, every hour for the next couple of hours i keep adding more of the tank water a few tablespoons at a time ... i have never lost any shrimp that way ... if your fry tank has minimal hiding places, they could have been stressed out ... a clump of java moss is great for them to hide in :O)

How to help urinary pain?

I'm male, 18 years old. When I was about 6 or 7 I had dysuria with hematuria and saw a urologist and nephrologist but it eventually cleared up on it's own. Now 10 years later it's back with a vengeance. Went to PCP and all he could tell me was that it is NOT UTI and I have to go back to the urologist but his closest appointment (made a week ago) is a month from today and I can't take the pain anymore. I've been taking pyridium/AZO standard and it barely puts a dent in the pain. At this time there is NO blood in the urine. Microscopy etc. also showed no proteins, WBCs, nitrites, or bacteria. Is there ANYTHING I can do to help the pain for another month? Or should I appeal to my doctor? Also not sexually active (no STD).

I'm very interested in the Gothic culture and would like to live where there's things to do specifically for goths such as nightclubs and festivals. Red gills? or normal?

i feel really bad about this but here it goes. i just got 3 guppies in what i thought was a cycled tank. 2 just died and the third looks healthy except for one thing- its head and gill area are starting to turn red, more of a mild pink. this guy was consistantly hiding behind the filter until the other 2 died, now he's been much more active. its been about a week. im nervous because the other two fish had symptoms of ammonia poisoning, but i just got a meter to read levels and theyre at 0, catastrophe avoided. (i add nitrifying bacteria every day, cant hurt) nitrites were at 0 too. then my water was very basic, so i had to get some easybalance to level out the ph, over two days its at 7.8. if you live in the northeast, youll know that its been hot as hell out, and the temp has been fluctuating in the tank between 76-82, i just got this under control using a heater at night and a fan blowing over the top during the day. i really just want this to take its course naturally but i feel guilty for these fish, i dont want this last one to die. does anyone know if this sounds like ammonia, nitrite, disease, stress? the last fish that died had a few red spots on it that looked like blood, is that ammonia as well?

Do girls like being tickled?

Upgrading tank need advice?

First, u should add the water almost to the top and get the rocks in, filter running heater set so the water is at a good temp( I keep mine at 78 degrees. Ur tank is gunna have to cylce for 2-4 weeks. And I heard that crowntail bettas are the "meanest" but that's to other bettas and I'm not sure if they are other fish. If u wanted to put ur betta in the 30 gal with some other fish u defanitly should go with fast moveing fish like danios or harlequin rasboras. As for a sucker fish, get 1-2 albino bristlenos plecos. They don't get nearly as big and there fellow relatives. And maybe a school of 5-6 albino cories or juli cories- they only reach about 2 in. And if u don't want ur betta in their- u could get the sucker fish and cories, and A MALE DWARF GOURAMI those or awesome and cool looking and not agressive at all. And the maybe a school of neon tetras or some kind of tetras. Maybe some kind of platy or swordtail. I wouldn't get guppies, I have them and they get really boring'even tho their really easy. U could get 1-2 males to help cycle ur new tank. U should make a trip to ur local petsore and get the essentials like water constioner and everything u don't have already. The biggest thing is to get ur tank set up and let it cycle until ur plants arrive and then put them in Andet it cycle for a couple weeks more before putting fish in it. Oh and when picking out a food for ur plants- get something that is high in iron. I hope I've helped:)

Problem aquarium water conditions?

I have a large tank - 6.5 foot x 2 foot, its been up and running for 2 years and all they fish are very healthy (never had a death), they are mainly oddball fish - 2 eels, 2 oscars, 2 tinfoils a couple of plecos and birchirs, a couple of rainbows and some catfsh. I recently did a water test and the results basically say the fish should be dead but there is nothing wrong with them. The only test that was ok was the ammonia, but I believe that this may be due to the extremely low pH - around 5. They nitrates / nitrites are also high. My problem is how to try and sort this out without shocking the fish. If I do a large water change and the pH rises, I believe I may run the risk of an ammonia problem. Anyone any ideas?

Why are my mollies dieing?

I have recently started to raise mollies. I have always had fish but after an ick wipeout and completly cleaning my tank I decided to go with mollies. Well, I got three pregnant ones (unknowingly) and one gave birth. I loved it! So I got two other tanks, one for the main fish, one for babies only and another for the soon to give birth moms (instead of useing the breeder nets or boxes I just put them in here a day or two before expected birth). Anyways four have given birth and not a single one has lived after birth. The longest living mother I have had only lived about two weeks after birth. The babies are fine, and all nitrites, nitrates, amoniam and everything else is fine. I am feeding them but just cant seem to keep the mothers alive after birth. SO, WHAT CAN I DO? I get attached to my pets easily and want to keep them alive.

All the fish in my tank are dying, why?

I have a 60 gallon saltwater tank that I set up about 3 months ago. I started off with Damsels, and gradually added other species until I had an nice colorful mix once the tank was well established and had cycled properly. We lost 2 damsels and a tomato clown in 2 weeks, then things went well for about 3 weeks. Everybody was happy and friendly, including the damsels (3 small) tomato clowns (2 small), horseshoe crabs (3) small dog-face puffer, yellow tang, fire fish (2) and one peppermint shrimp. Now they are dying at an alarming rate. We did get a reddish colored algae of some sort showing up on the glass, and I treated for it. The instructions said to remove my carbon filters and turn off my protein skimmer, so I did. Even with the treatment and limiting filtration, i am still losing fish. The only thing that is different as far as I can figure out is that I bought my saltwater from the fish store rather than making my own using instant ocean. We are running a 350 and 200 bio-wheels (carbon filters changed every 2 weeks), and a good quality protein skimmer. Any guesses or suggestions? I have tested and the ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, and ph are all reading really excellent (the best readings I have gotten since I set up the tanks with colors exactly matching the comparison cards). Please help? I only have my puffer, 2 damsels, 2 horseshoe crabs and my peppermint shrimp left and they are starting to look poorly!
